23-year old Dutch artist Marieke Siers is an emerging talent known for her bold and expressive acrylic portaits of women that reflect her personal journey. Her works transform insecurity into strength, using hair as a powerful visual symbol.
With vibrant colours and deep emotion in each face, her portraits tell untold
stories that captivate and inspire!
She uses a wide variety of materials and techniques and she knows how to
apply color well. The result is acrylic works that continue to fascinate and
inspire. With a handmade, color-painted frame as the finishing touch.
Creative, passionate, driven and enterprising!
She always has had a passion for painting and drawing. By continuing to
develop herself, this passion has only grown. With the basis of learning to work with different materials and applying various painting techniques. She does not see herself as the “classic” painter but as a versatile and enterprising artist!
In addition to her acrylic works, she makes realistic black and white portraits.
In these portraits she captures the facial expressions and emotions. The eyes
speak as if they still have a lot to tell you.
Marieke works from her Studio in Enschede in The Netherlands.
Since March 2024 she has opened a large studio in Spinnerij Oosterveld in
Enschede. A place that gives her strength and peace. This is where she makes
her large-format acrylic works.
She would like to share her love for painting and drawing with as many people
as possible.Thant’s why she gives painting lessons to beginners and advanced
students. During the painting lessons you are free to make whatever you want. She is convinced that you develop yourself the fastest if you make something that inspires you.
She guides you individually and teach you to get to know all materials, use of
color and techniques. She also tries to challenge you to ultimately achieve a
beautiful end result.

Upcoming talent Marieke Siers is creative, passionate, driven and a versatile
and enterprising artist! Artemis shares Marieke’s passion for colorful and
expressive art and considers it a privilege to be able to show Marieke’s
paintings internationally.
The solo exhibition of Marieke Siers in The Netherlands, which was held from
23 November to 26 January in the Artemis gallery in Ootmarsum, was received
with great enthusiasm and had a very positive response.
That is why Artemis Global Art and Marieke Siers have decided to continue
their collaboration! As of today, Marieke’s works will be part of the permanent
collection of Artemis and this means that Artemis will continue to show part of the Marieke Siers collection in its gallery in Ootmarsum, together with the
sculptures of Jan Pater and the paintings of Gert van Reenen and Norbertus.
In addition, Marieke will be given the opportunity to spread her wings via
Artemis and from June onwards a Marieke Siers Special will be held in the
Spanish gallery of Artemis, which is located on the exclusive resort Monte
Mayor in Benahavis (Marbella), where works by Ton Schulten and Jan Pater
can also be admired.
